Infrastructure Requirements
In addition to infrastructure that is available for all road traffic, principally the road system itself, the main categories of infrastructure required for an urban bus system are:

  • Bus stations and terminals
  • Bus garages or depots
  • Bus stops and shelters
  • It’s necessary to consider the infrastructure requirements for the selected public transport system, and, where necessary, to consider the most appropriate form of ownership and methods of charging for its use.
