Central America Regional PPP Program

The ultimate objective of this program is to support the implementation of PPP projects in Central America and create knowledge around these projects, by improving the current institutional structures, strengthening the regional pipeline, and improving government capacity to effectively implement and manage PPPs under best international practices.

The program covers three components which will be closely coordinated with parallel and complementary activities undertaken and funded by development partners in the region. The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) will fund downstream feasibility studies, while the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) will fund training and Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) will focus on capacity building logistics in general:

The three components covered under this program are:

(i) Institutional and regulatory framework strengthening
(ii) Capacity and awareness building
