VIETNAM: Improving Sanitation Services Sustainability in Vietnam’s Coastal Cities

This Technical Assistance aimed at conducting an ex-post evaluation of the performance and operation and maintenance of the sanitation facilities created under the completed projects and recommend improvements for the development of new projects. It reviewed and recommended improvements in the SOE equitization process, service contract, PSP and institutional arrangements for service provision. It also developed a capacity building program for service providers and relevant government agencies in the delivery of sanitation services delivery, an provided recommendations for increasing financial sustainability/ cost recovery.
