SEBEGAL: Improving SENELEC Creditworthiness and Regulatory Framework of the Power Sector

The objective of this activity is to equip SENELEC with contemporary and effective tools and sector payment mechanisms to reduce accumulation of arrears bolstering its financial viability and enhancing its capability to operate and maintain its infrastructures. Additionally, this support will facilitate an examination of tariff structures, with a focus on realigning sector subsidies and cross subsidies toward supporting low-income households and productive activities while securing payments to independent power producers and fostering private sector participation.
