PERU: Mobilizing Private Sector Engagement for Sustainable and Smart Urban Transport Solutions

The objective of this activity is to support Lima's Traffic Management and Sustainable Transport by building on existing PPP project preparation efforts in Peru. This involves assisting the Urban Transport Authority for Lima and Callao, the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, and the Ministry of Transport and Communications by offering:
1. Advice on electric bus co-financing and procurement in Lima, to attract private investment;
2. Consulting on an integrated public transport ticketing system, evaluating PPP and private sector models;
3. Guidance on expanding a public bike sharing system under PPP laws; and
4. Support for establishing a specialized project execution office.
