PAKISTAN: Accelerating Electric Vehicle Adoption

The objective of this activity is to support the acceleration of electric vehicle adoption in Pakistan, federally and in the Sindh province. The intervention will lay the groundwork for electric vehicle adoption through:
1.    An examination of financing approaches for electric 2 and 3 wheel vehicles, with specific analysis of options to encouraging financing for women;
2.    A market assessment, business models, and standard contract documents for the procurement of electric buses, which will explore ways to improve female participation in the sector labor force;
3.    Conducting a gap analysis and creation of a charging infrastructure strategy to enable charging solutions with a gender disaggregated approach; and
4.    Capacity building efforts in Sindh province, and Pakistan more generally.
