MOROCCO: Toward Enhanced Sustainability and Private Sector Participation in the Morocco Municipal Solid Waste Management

Based on the World Bank’s long-standing engagement in Morocco’s Municipal Solid Waste Management (MSWM) sector and building on the significant achievements made under the first Morocco MSWM strategy (2008-2020), this activity supports the formulation of a new MSWM program for Morocco. The latter will focus, among others, on the following areas:

1. Financial sustainability of the sector.
2. Increased private sector participation in the MSWM value chain.
3. Enhanced recycling and valorization efforts by integrating MSWM into a circular economy in the country.
