MAURITANIA: Private Sector Participation in Renewable Energy Generation

The objective of this activity is to support the Ministry of Energy and the national utility in accelerating the country’s energy transition via wind, solar, and battery energy storage deployment, and exploring more private sector participation in renewable energy and access to it. This support builds on work accomplished in a previous PPIAF intervention and will be done through a high-level risk analysis, risk mitigation mechanisms identification, deployment scheme selection for the bidding process, and a socio-economic benefits maximization strategy.
