MALAWI: PPP Support Program – Phase 2

The objective of this activity is to advance government efforts towards enhancing private sector participation in infrastructure projects. This will build upon previous PPIAF interventions by: 
1.    Focusing on screening and prioritizing potential PPP candidates, 
2.    Operationalizing the Fiscal Commitments and Contingent Liabilities tool and database, 
3.    Developing comprehensive guidelines for direct negotiations and unsolicited project proposals, 
4.    Formulating regulations for PPPs in local authorities, and
5.    Developing detailed guidance notes based on best practice and customized to local context to complement the PPP guidelines.
