MALAWI: Enhancing Utility Efficiency - Power Purchase Agreement Optimization and Asset Management Enhancement

The objective of this activity is to improve the Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi's (ESCOM) performance by establishing an Asset Management system and a robust project screening framework. The first component involves a comprehensive review of existing asset management practices, identification of technological opportunities for enhancement, and the development of a roadmap for capability improvement. The second component focuses on developing a thorough screening criteria and decision-making process for Power Purchase Agreements, with an emphasis on building negotiation capacities within the utility.
