GLOBAL: InfraSAPs in FCS and Island Countries

To better understand the constraints that limit commercial and private financing of infrastructurein in Maldives, PPIAF supported a study under the Infrastructure Sector Assessment Program (InfraSAP). In addition to identifying issues and challenges in the infrastructure sector, the report also provided short and medium-term policy recommendations for improvement. These will be considered by the government. If implemented, the recommended policy reforms could facilitate the flow of commercial and private funds into vital infrastructure projects. This would be a crucial step towards achieving sustainable economic growth and improving the lives of its citizens.
