GLOBAL: Digital Transformation of Energy Sector Infrastructure: Frontier Analysis and Enabling Frameworks

This activity consists of three main deliverables: an introduction to implementing smart grids for electric distribution, guidance for policymakers on Smart Grids, and a case study on Smart Meter development in Italy. These knowledge products collectively offer advice on the planning and execution of smart grid technologies for electricity distribution, primarily for electricity distribution companies, policymakers, and regulators in developing countries. It also considers investments in smart metering, information and communication technologies, and distribution automation to more advanced investments in distribution management systems, distributed energy resources management systems, and advanced data analytics.
