Colombia: Zero-Carbon Shipping - Colombia Port & Fuel Storage Assessment

The objective of this activity is to analyze the maritime transport sector’s catalytical role in developing Colombia’s green hydrogen economy. Shipping and ports will need green hydrogen-based fuels to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This analysis will help Colombia to identify business and development opportunities created by the transition to zero-carbon shipping. It will also have the added effect of strengthening the World Bank Group's (WBG) leadership role in clean transportation development. The focus of this work will be the development of a pipeline for zero-carbon bunker fuel supply chain products in Colombia, an opportunity for future WBG operations.
