Bangladesh: Maritime Port Sector Reform

The objective of this activity is to facilitate the required legal and regulatory reform in Bangladesh’s Maritime Port Sector, laying the groundwork for wider competition and private sector participation. This primarily will be achieved by assisting the Ministry of Shipping (MOS) and CPA to evaluate and optimize the current Chittagong Port development plans, including the two planned container terminal concessions (Bay Terminal and Patenga Terminal) and support one of the first container port concessions.
