Karen, a South Korean national, joined PPIAF in November 2018 to develop communications strategies and identify avenues to cross promote and coordinate with potential partners. Before joining PPIAF, Karen worked for the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency in Washington DC as an Associate Director where she led South Korean government-funded business development programs. In this role, she directed upstream business advisory for Korean engineering companies and financial institutions seeking Public-Private Partnership infrastructure opportunities in the US marketplace. She has also worked for Honeywell International’s Security Division where she established market analysis and structured local, regional, and global communications platforms for its business units in Asia Pacific. Karen has a Master of International Affairs degree in International Energy Management and Policy from Columbia University in New York, and holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of California, Los Angeles.
