Samuel Baiya

Regional Portfolio Coordinator, East and South Africa Manages the East Africa portfolio

Samuel is a Kenyan national, joined PPIAF in April 2016 to support PPIAF activities in the Middle East & South, and East Africa Region specifically in projects origination, monitoring and evaluation as well as contribute to production of PPIAF knowledge, communication, and M&E products. An economist by training, Samuel has over five years work experience in project planning and development, project management and market research in the private and development sectors, including two years as an operations analyst with the World Bank Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) for Domestic Private Sector Participation (DPSP) Global Program. Most recently, Samuel led the WSP-DPSP global program monitoring, and data analysis activities covering 16 countries spread across Africa and Asia. Samuel holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance from the University of Nairobi Kenya
