Karen Graciela Calderon

Communications & Outreach Consultant

Karen, a U.S. national, joined PPIAF in October 2016 to support the development of PPIAF's Strategic Communications and maintain the PPIAF website, Twitter account and newsletter. Prior to joining PPIAF, Karen worked as the Marketing, Outreach and Development Associate at the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Washington Office, managing donor communications around IOM programs based in Latin America and the Caribbean. She also co-directed a short video for the #IAmAMigrant campaign aimed at changing the negative views of migrants worldwide.  She also worked as a Cultural Diplomacy & Communications Fellow at the United Nations, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). She holds a Master of Arts in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, and a Bachelor of Arts in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College.
