Fern P. Gray

Climate Change Consultant

Fern, a Trinidad & Tobago national, joined PPIAF in October 2016 to support strategy and development of the climate change agenda, including the climate change activities and programs within the global knowledge portfolio. With over 7 years of private sector experience, she worked in finance and energy derivatives investment banking for Morgan Stanley and Wachovia Securities in the U.S., and then Exploration & Production (E&P) project economics and strategic planning at British Petroleum (BP). Most recently, she lead technical assistance and project development activities for UNDP’s Global Environment Fund (GEF) application portfolio within the Caribbean, and supported the formulation of the Operational Plan for CARICOMs Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency with UNIDO. Fern has contributed to and authored various knowledge products on the Energy Security and Climate Change agenda in the LAC Region, most recently as the lead author for UNEP’s 2015 Solar Thermal Market Readiness & Feasibility Study on 8 Regional Markets. Fern holds a MA in International Relations with a focus on Energy & Resource Policy from The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, and a BBA in International Business incl. Finance from Howard University.
