CROSS REGIONAL: Financing Universal Access to Water Supply and Sanitation (Component 1 and 2)

This activity is part of a larger program approved recently to develop opportunities to scale up private sector investment in water and sanitation. This activity covers component 1 and 2 with the following objectives. Component 1 covers outreach, surveillance and potential transaction structuring to complete a minimum of ten country studies that will characterize the broad authorizing environment for private financing of water; identify a potential pipeline of transactions that would attract private capital, and design the financing and technical support structures for the next phase of the Program. The second component focuses on providing capacity building support for increased opportunities of success with the transactions.
