Policy Guidelines for Managing Unsolicited Proposals

New PPIAF publication helps address the challenges of USPs

When it comes to infrastructure projects, unsolicited proposals (USPs) reparesent al alternative to the traditional project initiation method, whereby the private sector, and not the government, takes the lead in identifying and developing a project. Many public authorities around the world resort to USPs, but these projects often experience challenges including diverting public funds away from other strategic areas, providing poor value for money, and lacking the needed transparency. This new publicatiion and it's accompanying volumes provide dedicated recommendations on how to address those challenges and others presented by USPs.
