This policy note presents the results of a water and solid-waste-collection of Small-scale Infrastructure Providers (SSIPs) in El Salvador. The study uses the Salvadoran example to showcase the role of  as a viable alternative in certain contexts to expand affordable service coverage in the region in the near future, without sacrificing quality.
