WEST BANK AND GAZA: Technical Assistance to establish sustainable municipal lending framework

Supporting the capacity of the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF) to Supporting the assessment of the credit worthiness of large and medium municipalities in West Bank and Gaza to identify those municipalities that are in a position to borrow. The policy, legal and regulatory framework for municipal lending will be assessed and recommendations to strengthen them will be offered. In addition an institutional design and capitalization strategy will be developed for the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF) to initiate its lending activity. This should enable the Municipal Development and Lending Fund (MDLF) to develop its skills and capacities for lending to creditworthy municipalities.
