KENYA: Financial Advisory Services for Kenya Energy Utilities (KENGEN & KPLC)

PPIAFs support was framed under the World Bank funded Kenya Electricity Modernization Project  and the Kenya Electricity Expansion Project . Both projects are designed to promote the development of the power sector in Kenya by supporting KPLC in expanding the last mile electrification and KenGen in increasing the share of renewable generation by financing the development of Olkaria geothermal power plants. PPIAFs support was in the development of a 5-year Strategic Business Plan capacity building to selected staff on key aspects of project development and financial modeling.
